The future of Apple iPads.

Apple is working on wireless charging for the iPad Pro, releasing a thinner iPad Mini, and updating the 10.2″iPad

In order to include wireless charging on the iPad Pro, reports say Apple will switch to a glass back rather than the aluminium back that their iPads normally have.

Reports also show that the main focus for the new iPad pros will be on the back, with Apple working on MagSafe style magnetic connectors and reverse wireless charging for things like AirPods on the newer iPad pros.

Apple still has a lot of work to make it work, so reports say these features will only make it from 2022 onwards.

Bloomberg also says Apple shall release a refreshed iPad Mini this year with narrower bezels and the removal of its home button.

And finally, Apple is said to be working on a refresh of the normal 10.2″ iPad, giving it a thinner blueprint inspired by the iMacs.

We could expect the iPad, iPad Mini and a new iPad Air later this year, while the iPad Pro will come out next year.

Nintendo Switch Pro Retail listing Spotted!

French Electronic Retailer lists Nintendo Switch Pro console for €399

The long purported successor to the popular gaming handheld, has been listed on a French Electronic Retailer’s website. Now, while it is not visible to searches on the page, Nintend’Alerts spotted it in the website database.

A welcome upgrade to the wildly successful console, the Pro is speculated to ship with an OLED panel and much better processing power to push more pixels, both on its touchscreen, and through the HDMI Dock. It is rumoured to come with more storage and RAM for a, on-the-whole, better experience.

While the original console launched for €329, the current global chip-shortage might be the reason for the price hike. Even if the console does not launch in the coming months, we do not expect it to be easy to acquire.

Google announces Pixel Buds A-Series

The heavily rumoured Pixel Buds A have been officially announced by the Tech Giant.

The Pixel Buds A are the heavily rumoured and anticipated cheaper Truly Wireless Earbuds from the Search Engine company. Earlier this year, the company tweeted an image that featured the A-Series and today, the company has officially announced the TWS Buds.

The Buds A-Series retain the same build and general design of the previously launched Pixel Buds. It also shares the hands-free “Hey Google” voice commands and IPX4 water and sweat resistance with the regular Pixel Buds. Whilst retaining the same audio quality and sound signature, it loses out on the Wireless Charging Case and the Swipe Controls for for Volume on the buds.

Battery life is rated at five hours (24 hours if recharging in the case is counted), and Google says you can get up to three hours of listening time with a 15-minute quick charge.

While the Pixel Buds A-Series look practically identical to the regular Pixel Buds, Google has tweaked the design by softening the integrated ear hooks and making them a bit smaller. The company has also taken steps to avoid the connectivity bugs and audio cutouts that still affect some owners of its previous foray. The Pixel Buds A-Series also can be configured to be a bit louder than the original Pixel Buds.

Even with all those features retained, Google has managed to cut the price down to $99 from $179 which is commendable!

Riot Games confirm Valorant Mobile is in development

The wildly popular FPS game is now coming to Android, confirms the US-based Riot Games.

In an announcement celebrating the game’s first anniversary, Riot confirmed that it’s working on a mobile version of the free-to-play shooter, namely Valorant Mobile. While the developer didn’t reveal too many details about the mobile version, its title does suggest it’ll be similar to its PC sibling rather than a complete spin-off.

Valorant’s executive producer Anna Donlon told Polygon that the mobile version would focus on the mobile player’s needs. It won’t simply be a ported version of the PC title. Donlon also confirmed that cross-play between PC and mobile wouldn’t be available, as the control schemes on both the platforms differ.

Riot is the latest developer to bring their FPS shooters to Mobile, following Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends Mobile, Tencent’s PUBG, Activision’s CODM and Epic’s Fortnite.

No official release dates or any timelines were announced, but we do hope the game to be available by the next year!

Best Wallpaper Apps on Android (2021)

Customising your phone has always been a fun and popular experience. Changing the interface, icons, and function to your liking always makes your technology feel yours, and what some people can come up with is just superhuman. One of the most, yet easiest ways to customise your device, is through wallpapers! Vectors, images, and backgrounds can shape how your phone looks. So without further ado, here are 5 terrific Wallpaper apps, on Android.

1. WallPix

First off, we got WallPix, my all-time favourite because of the sheer number of Wallpapers, and its slick easy UI.

With Wallpix you have many pages, such as the Trending, Favourites, and My Favoruite, Categories to find what type of wallpaper you exactly want. Kind of like if Instagram was a wallpaper app.

It doesn’t disappoint much with the wallpapers either, real-life pictures, as well as animated ones, look awesome no matter what device you’re using. You can easily set wallpaper by pressing on it when you find it in a gallery and pressing the set option.

Don’t get me started on the notch wallpapers though, as they are beyond comparison, probably the best you’ll get from any app!

Overall Wallpix is seriously amazing, the only feature I would potentially want them to add is maybe a custom wallpaper settings size it would be accustomed to any screen.

2. Zedge

Although Zedge isn’t the most popular one on the list, it carries a large amount of customisation.

Zedge mainly carries pictures that aren’t animated, but aren’t real-life pictures either, it sounds confusing, but think of it as a vibrant photoshop of a real image. (Digital Art)

With many Mottoes and sayings, Zedge has the wallpapers for all your motivational needs.

Although there aren’t too many wallpapers currently, new ones are uploaded every week.

Zedge also is a full-on customisation app that doesn’t just focus on wallpapers, you can get cool ringtones, and keyboards that are as terrific as the wallpapers themselves.

3. AMOLED Displays

AMOLED Displays, as the name suggests, is a wallpaper app meant for AMOLED Displays. It focuses on dark images that are vibrant, giving the best “wallpaper experience at night time”.

AMOLED Displays have self-emitting Pixels, and when made to display the colour Black, the pixels are turned off, so this app predominantly features Dark Wallpapers, the kind that are just as aesthetic in the day whilst not blinding you at night.

Although the wallpapers still work with other display types, it is meant to extract peak performance and quality when on an AMOLED Display as it says.

4. Abstruct

Although I never was, and probably never will be, a fan of abstract wallpapers. I can get why many people enjoy using those specific types of wallpapers.

Their clean and minimalistic aesthetic, makes them great for HomeScreen Setups.

Although there are only Abstract wallpapers here, there are many of those, from Vibrant to Void Wallpapers.

My favourite is the AOSPA wallpaper type, any time I”m trying to customise my home screen to a have a uniform theme, Abstract is the app of my choice.

5. Naturify

As I’ve probably mentioned, my favourite wallpapers are high-quality real pictures, and Naturify is the perfect app for me.

First off, the UI is really helpful, where you have a section to see whatever you want in Categories and the Most Popular ones. The best part comes when you want to set the wallpaper, as you get rendered the highest quality image.

You can adjust the image, from saturation to brightness, and the image quality still stays the same. You’ve got millions of possibilities, kind of like making your wallpaper, and personalisation is the peak of customisation.

Automatically Save a Screenshot to the Clipboard on macOS!

Hey! So we all take screenshots, whether it is send to someone or keep for your own references. Sometimes, we need to copy those screenshots to our clipboard to then send them to someone else. Instead of taking a screenshot, right-clicking, and pressing “Save to Clipboard”, here is a cool feature, you can automatically save it to the clipboard! Here is how!

The Slow Way:

The Fast Way:

Go to system preferences > keyboard > shortcuts > screenshots and look at this part:

It may say a different keyboard shortcut, but you can customise that. I like mine to be simple, and that is why I put it to Cmd + Shift + S!

Now you can take a screenshot and it will automatically be saved to your clipboard. I am just going to press cmd + shift + s and am going to paste what I just took a screenshot of:

(that only took a few seconds!)

Is it that simple! You should definitely try it! 😀

Thanks for reading!

OnePlus to produce AirTags competitor soon?

OnePlus and Apple are companies with opposing ideals. One wants to provide the Flagship Experience at the lowest price possible, while the other sets the bar for the “Flagship Experience”, whilst being flamboyant with the pricing. That does not, however, mean that OnePlus hasn’t followed in Apple’s footsteps, as the company has been launching a lot of products recently which are influenced by the tech giant’s products.

DroidMaze and Neowin have learned that OnePlus (through Beijing Intangible Technology) filed for a “OnePlusTag” trademark on May 18, hinting at possible development of a rival to Apple’s AirTag devices.

Now, this is just a trademark, and no announcements have been made, but companies usually trademark phrases only when they expect to use it in the near future.

We expect the OnePlus Tag to be cheaper and provide much of the same functionality, but whether they replicate the Precision Finding and seamless integration of AirTags is up for speculation.

iOS 15 Wishlist. Surprise us, Apple!

Ever since the unveiling of Android 12, many iOS users want a major overhaul for iOS 15. And, we can’t wait to see what Apple has saved for us!

Here are the top 3 features I would like to see in Apple’s next mobile Operating System.

1. Lock Screen Redesign

This one is a must! We’ve seen leaks and rumours for months now and this has been one of the most requested features! We’ve had the same Lock Screen layout since 2013 (iOS 7)

2. App Shortcuts in Control Center.

Ever since I used this jailbreak tweak, I’ve been thinking why hasn’t Apple implemented it yet? Having app shortcuts like Instagram, Twitter etc in the Control Center itself will save so much time!

3. A redesigned Home Screen

Even though we got a major Home Screen redesign with iOS 14, I hope Apple improves it even more with the newer version! Even if they just implement functional widgets, it‘ll be a huge deal!

Is Windows 11 Finally Coming?

A recent statement from Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has got everyone hyped about “THE NEXT GENERATION OF WINDOWS”

One of the most significant updates of Windows of the past decade is coming very soon. I’ve been using it over the past several months and I’m incredibly excited about the next generation of Windows
-Satya Nadella, Microsoft CEO

On the opposite hand, Microsoft had said that Windows 10 Will be the last version of Windows, but that was back in 2015, and a lot has changed in the last 6 years. Nothing is confirmed as of yet, but we do have information about three major changes that could be coming:

1. A News Windows Store

Along with a brand new look, Microsoft will be featuring three major developer-related policies.

  1. Developers will be allowed to publish unpackaged Win 32 Apps to the app store
  2. Developers will be able to host apps on their own CDNs.
  3. Developers will also be allowed to use third party e-commerce

2. A Brand New UI

Windows 11, codenamed “SUN VALLEY” is bringing major UI changes to compete with other Operating Systems like macOS. Sun Valley will bring new icons for pretty much every app, making it a lot more modern and aesthetically pleasing. We will also wee rounded edges on pretty much everything, from app windows, to drop downs, to the start menu! On the topic of the start menu, we will also see a redesigned start menu. It will be inspired by Windows 10X and will give the OS a new look entirely.

The action centre from Windows 10X is also coming, with a few minor tweaks.

“Instead of bringing a product called Windows 10X to market in 2021 like we originally intended, we are leveraging learnings from our journey thus far and accelerating the integration of key foundational 10X technology into other parts of Windows and products at the company.”
John Cable, head of Windows servicing and delivery

3. New Features

The main focus on the features will be on Snap Assist that will help in multi-tasking and multi monitor connections. The Battery app is also getting an overhaul with more detailed battery analytics. Microsoft is also working on an updated dashboard.

The NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti is Here, and You Won’t Get It!

Since the start of the pandemic, GPU shortage has taken over the world. GPUs originally priced at ₹40,000 are selling for almost ₹150,000 or even more! Last fall, NVIDIA launched the RTX 3070 and the RTX 3080. And to date, there are thousands of potential customers who haven’t got their hands on either of them yet. NVIDIA kept pushing more cards throughout the rest of 2020 and 2021, including the RTX 3060 Ti and the RTX 3060. But all of them are weapons-grade un-obtanium.

At this point, the only GPU that you would find in MSRP is a GT 710. And, it’s better to call that a display adapter these days.

Amidst all this shortage, there is news that NVIDIA would announce the RTX 3080 Ti and probably, an RTX 3070 Ti this May 31st, i.e. tomorrow. And as far leaks go, they would hit the market June 10th, only if scalpers aren’t at action yet again.

A Re-Used Cooling Design

According to the leaks from the video card archive videocardz.com, NVIDIA seems to have re-used the cooling design of the RTX 3080 Founder’s Edition into its new RTX 3080 Ti FE.

The 3080 Ti is Set to Rival the 3090?

With the launch of the RTX 3080 Ti, NVIDIA seems to start a competition with itself. While all three of the RTX 3090, the RTX 3080 and the RTX 3080 Ti packs the same GA102 GPU, the RTX 3080 Ti will feature 10,270 CUDA cores. That number is shy of the RTX 3090 by just 200.

The GeForce RTX 3080 Ti delivers up to 12GB of GDDR6X memory that adheres to a 19 Gbps memory clock. This memory operates across a 384-bit memory interface, meaning we get a maximum theoretical memory bandwidth of up to 912.4 GBps. That’s 20% more bandwidth than a GeForce RTX 3080 and only 2.5% less than the GeForce RTX 3090.

Also, the number of RT cores, Tensor cores and texture units are supposed to be as much as the RTX 3090, if not completely equal. With 12GB of GDDR6X VRAM, this could be the only ground where the 3090 will keep a strong lead.

Although the official MSRP for the 3080 Ti isn’t confirmed yet, we are expecting something around $1000 or almost ₹80,000. That is very competitive pricing, especially considering how close the 3080 Ti would be to the 3090, which costs almost double that of it, at ₹150,000.
